We’re excited to announce the creation of a new Micro-Forest on campus, in partnership with Lancashire County Council’s Treescapes Team.
Today, our students and Estates team have planted 850 tree saplings near our rugby pitch as part of our fantastic initiative to make our campus greener and more sustainable.

Staff and students can also sponsor a tree by donating £5 – all proceeds will be donated to our college charity Mind. Sponsored trees will be labelled and named as a lasting tribute to our valued contributors.

Runshaw College is committed to making a positive contribution to the global challenges of climate change, sustainable development, social value and governance. We take care to limit our environmental impact and make best use of natural resources by reducing our carbon footprint, improving resource efficiencies through recycling, setting energy targets, raising awareness and monitoring impact. We educate and support staff and students to make lasting changes to behaviour and working practices to proactively improve the local and wider environment and create a positive future. Below are just a few resources in place here at Runshaw.
