Every learner’s safety is our concern
We prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students, staff, contractors, and visitors within the Runshaw community, ensuring everyone feels safe and protected.
We are committed to supporting students who are currently or have been involved with the care system, those living independently, and young carers.

Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults
At Runshaw College, the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone involved in college activities is a top priority. The college has a duty to ensure staff are vigilant in preventing and reporting any suspected or discovered abuse.
Safeguarding means:

- Ensuring safety
- Protecting from abuse and neglect

- Supporting the best life chances
Runshaw College has a dedicated Safeguarding Team, led by senior leaders responsible for all safeguarding matters concerning students. We also maintain a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy, outlining the procedures for addressing safeguarding concerns. This policy is available for download on the College Policies page.
