Runshaw raises over £7,000 for Lancashire Mind
We are delighted to share that our college community has raised an incredible £7,136.49 for our nominated college charity, Lancashire Mind, during the 2024-26 charity partnership.
The funds were recently presented to David Dunwell, Chief Executive Officer of Lancashire Mind, and Aimee Heath, who visited the college to receive a cheque on behalf of the charity.
This remarkable total reflects the generosity, enthusiasm and community spirit of students and staff across the college. Over the past two years, countless fundraising activities have taken place, with contributions coming from a wide range of events and initiatives. Highlights have included a student head shave, Leyland Festival, World Culture Day, Eid markets, Winter Wonderland celebrations, jewellery sales, cake sales and staff raffles, alongside many other activities organised and supported by colleagues and students. Every event, donation and act of support has helped us reach this fantastic milestone.
Lancashire Mind provides vital support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges across the county. The money raised will help the charity continue its important work, supporting people to improve and maintain positive mental health and wellbeing.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this. Whether you organised an event, volunteered your time, donated, bought a raffle ticket, baked a cake, or simply offered encouragement and support, you have played a part in raising this outstanding amount.
