College can be financially challenging for some people. At Runshaw College we want all of our students to enjoy their college experience without this worry.
The college has a number of Bursary funds aimed at supporting learners with specific financial difficulties which may prevent them from taking part in learning. Eligibility for the funds will be based on household income and recent evidence of this must be submitted with your application. The bursary is intended to help students with their costs in participating in education and not beyond that.
Bursary applications can be made online through the PayMyStudent portal. Click the ‘apply now’ button below to start your Bursary application. If you or your family would like to discuss any financial concern, please contact us by email here.
The 16-19 Bursary is designed to help students who are experiencing financial difficulty in accessing or completing their course. You must be under 19 on the 31st August in the year in which you start your programme of study.
Learner Support Funds are used to assist students who have difficulty in joining, staying on and completing their course because of financial hardship or who need help towards transport and/or registered childcare costs. All applications are assessed to find those students who are most in need of help. The amount of funding can vary and will depend upon your circumstances (household income).
If you are aged 19 or over and thinking about studying a further education vocational, technical or professional course at Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 from September, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay your course fees.
