Runshaw Staff Celebrate Wellbeing And Achievement During End-of-Year Events
Runshaw College staff enjoyed two days of activities on 9 and 10 July, taking part in the annual Health and Wellbeing day before rounding off the academic year with the Runshaw Run & Ramble and Staff Awards.
The celebrations began with the college’s annual Health and Wellbeing Day on Thursday 9 July, giving colleagues the opportunity to step away from their usual routines and take part in a wide range of activities designed to support physical wellbeing, creativity, relaxation and social connection.
This year’s programme featured something for everyone. Staff embraced opportunities to get active through circuits, rounders, archery, pilates, modern dance, guided walks and e-bike trails, alongside wellbeing sessions such as reflexology, sound therapy, nutrition and health coaching. Staff also enjoyed creative activities including painting masterclasses, pottery painting, arts and crafts, and pizza making.
A range of informal activities were also available throughout the day, including alpaca visits, henna art, a climbing wall and table tennis, while a picnic lunch in Worden Park gave colleagues the chance to come together to relax and enjoy the summer sunshine.

The following day, staff returned to Worden Park for the annual Runshaw Run & Ramble, which this year embraced a Wild West theme. Colleagues put on their boots, hats and country-inspired outfits as they took part in either a 5km run or a more leisurely ramble around the park.
Whether aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a walk with colleagues, staff came together for a morning of fresh air, exercise and fun before returning to the college for lunch and the annual Staff Awards presentation.
The awards provided an opportunity to reflect on another successful year and recognise the dedication, achievements and contributions of colleagues from across the college.

Across the two days, staff had the opportunity to try something different, spend time with colleagues and celebrate the end of another busy academic year. The events provided a chance to relax, reflect and recognise the hard work that has taken place across the college over the past 12 months.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone involved in organising and delivering both events, as well as all colleagues who took part and helped make them such a success. We wish all staff a well-earned summer break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for the year ahead.
