Tonight we welcomed our adult learners, apprentices, employer partners and special guests to Runshaw’s 2025 awards of outstanding achievement at our first ever combined celebration of Apprenticeships and Adult Learning.
It was wonderful to see so many award winners, guests, employers and other partners and supporters gathering in the Silverdale Hub, including the Mayor of South Ribble, Councillor Paul Wharton-Hardman BEM and his Consort, Chris Wharton-Hardman; the Mayor of Chorley, Councillor Alistair Morwood and Mayoress, Mrs Jane Morwood; and representatives from our college governing body.

Not forgetting our compère for the evening – Assistant Principal Robert Jones, our Principal Clare Russell, who introduced the evening’s celebrations, and our Chair of Governors, Alison Watson-Bird, who closed tonight’s ceremony.

Nominations were invited from both trainers and employers for apprentices and adult learners who have excelled in all aspects of their programme. Our award winners have been outstanding ambassadors for Runshaw in the workplace, and equally outstanding representatives of their employers in their work with the college. Runshaw’s Rachel McCracken also celebrated winning the Intermediate Apprentice of the year Award.

We would like to thank everyone for joining us to celebrate the achievements of our adult learners and apprentices over the last 12 months.
