We are delighted to confirm that Runshaw College has joined the Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges!
The Race to Zero criteria is set by an Expert Peer Review Group, which comprises scientific and technical experts from around the world.
At Runshaw College we educate and support staff and students to make lasting changes to behaviour and working practices to proactively improve the local and wider environment and create a positive future. We take care to limit our environmental impact and make best use of natural resources by reducing our carbon footprint, improving resource efficiencies through recycling, setting energy targets, raising awareness and monitoring impact.
EAUC is the leading body for sustainability in the post-16 education sector in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Together we can advocate for a healthy, resilient, zero-carbon recovery that prevents future threats, creates decent jobs, and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth. Now more than ever, our sector needs to be leading the way in meeting the net-zero targets, by increasing and demonstrating the value educational institutions bring to young people and the wider society.
