Our Media Production department is pleased to introduce a brand new Interactive TV Studio.
This studio is the result of a great collaboration between our Estates and IT teams and was designed and project-managed by our Media Technician, Andrew Davies. Andrew shared his thoughts on the development, “While traditional TV studio workflows still hold value at an introductory level, the future of media production is interactive. With the rise of streaming and live motion-driven content, this new studio will enable our students to develop their skills in creative interactive broadcasting. Though the studio may appear minimalistic, beneath the surface, it is packed with the latest interactive functionality, helping to prepare our students for the next stage of their careers.”

Ste Wood, Curriculum Leader for Media Production, added, “This new studio will significantly expand the opportunities available for our students’ projects. It will also give them a head start when progressing to university or an apprenticeship. Additionally, it strengthens our STEM offering as we continue to integrate more advanced digital technology into our Media and Film programmes.

This year we continue to invest heavily in our facilities so that our learning environments are sector-leading for our students and staff. Our state-of-the-art facilities and technology enable the transformation of theory into practice, turning students’ career dreams into reality.
