At Runshaw College, we are deeply committed to supporting the professional growth and progression of our staff. Whether you’re aiming to step into a leadership role as a Course Leader or seeking to represent your colleagues on the Board of Governors, there are abundant opportunities to make a meaningful impact and further develop your leadership capabilities. For experienced practitioners, we provide tailored support to help you continuously expand your expertise. For those who are newer to the profession, our induction programs for Early-Stage Teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers offer the guidance and support you need to feel confident and thrive in your role.
We also offer dedicated sessions led by advanced practitioners who tailor the content to address specialisms, pedagogy, digital skills, and strategies to reduce teacher workload or improve teaching outcomes. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to connect with the wider college teaching community while enhancing your knowledge base.
At Runshaw, we actively foster industry links that benefit both our learners and staff. With an established network of relationships across a diverse range of industries, we encourage and support our staff in developing their own industry connections, with assistance from management and our Employer Relationships team.
Additionally, we host College Improvement Days (CID Days), which focus on team development across the college. Past sessions have focused on topics such as digital upskilling and effective teamwork, ensuring our team remains engaged and equipped for the challenges of today’s educational landscape.
