Once your application is  submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. You can normally expect to hear from us within 14 days regarding whether you have been shortlisted for a first-stage interview. Please note that response times may vary during busy periods or holidays.

Throughout the recruitment process, we will keep you updated via email. If we need any additional information or wish to schedule an interview, we will contact you. If you are selected for the next stage, we will invite you to an in-person interview at our Leyland campus. Your invitation will include details about what will happen on the day, how long you may expect to be here  as well as parking and other relevant information.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept CV’s via direct email. For education positions, we require application forms to ensure fairness and to help us identify the best candidates and ensure compliance with legal guidance, specifically Keeping Children Safe in Education.

At Runshaw College, we are proud to offer a generous annual leave entitlement designed to support our staff’s work-life balance. Teaching staff enjoy an annual leave of 37 days, while management staff receive 35 days, and support staff benefit from up to 25 days off. In addition to these entitlements, all staff can take advantage of eight annual bank holidays and an extra five days allocated for the Christmas closure.

For teaching positions, there are designated holiday periods, allowing staff to enjoy their time off without the need to book leave. Support staff, on the other hand, have flexible arrangements tailored to their roles, which may involve year-round in-office attendance or term-time contracts. Depending on their responsibilities, support staff can take their annual leave at their discretion, ensuring they can balance their professional and personal commitments effectively.

It is always beneficial to mention any planned holidays during the interview process or as early as possible once a job offer has been made. We will always seek to accommodate pre-booked holidays.
