Our Level 2 Art and Design students have been busy raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Our students have raised £50, plus online donations by selling ceramic flower frogs at the Visual Arts End of Year Exhibition.
Flower frogs were created by pressing natural objects and lace into the clay which then had oxides and coloured slips added before glazing. Flower frogs are used to support and help the arrangement of flowers, but can also be used to support cutting when taking root.
Well done to all our students! St Catherine’s Hospice cares for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
Art & Design UAL Level 2 aims to provide students with the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification to enter employment in art and design or to progress onto Level 3 courses in Art and Design or Graphic Design. It will also help to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in future careers. Find out more below.
