Our Level 3 BTEC Media Production students have enjoyed a fascinating session delving into the latest innovations in broadcasting and technology.
The workshop, led by our Media Technician Andrew, offered an unparalleled insight into the future of media production, as we offer more opportunities to our students and further push the technology insight of our STEM offering within the course.
The session gave students a firsthand look at how traditional directing techniques can seamlessly integrate with emerging technologies, opening new creative opportunities. The session was so well received that students are eager to continue exploring these new technologies and techniques in regular Friday enrichment sessions. Next week, they’ll dive into the art of projection mapping, a skill that combines creativity with technical expertise to produce immersive visual experiences.
We’re proud to see our Media Production students engaging with such forward-thinking practices, and we look forward to supporting their journey as they develop their skills.
Our Creative Media Production course gives students a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of Television and Film Production. Students also have the opportunity to gain work experience externally and in the college’s own production company RunshawTV. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto Higher Education or employment in the Media Industry. Click below to find out more.
