When can I apply?
Applications are open now until 1st April 2026.
How can I apply?
You can apply online via our website by clicking here. You will need an email address to create your online application and then simply follow the easy steps to submit your application. Once you have applied, you will see a message on the screen stating that your application has been submitted. You will also receive a confirmation email which will be sent to the email address you have registered with, so please make sure you have typed this correctly.
Do I need to pick subjects for my application?
We do ask you to select subjects on your application but these can be changed at any point up to enrolment on GCSE Results Day, so don’t worry if you aren’t 100% sure yet what you want to study. You can discuss this further at your admissions interview.
If I pick subjects and want to change them, what should I do?
If you would like to make any changes to your subject choices, please email our friendly Admissions Team at welcometorunshaw@runshaw.ac.uk Please do not submit another application.
Can I apply for A Levels and a Vocational / T Level course at the same time?
You can only apply for either A Levels or a Vocational / T Level course as we don’t combine these at Runshaw. However, your subjects can be changed at any point up to enrolment on GCSE Results Day, so don’t worry if you aren’t 100% sure yet what you want to study. You can discuss this further at your admissions interview.
Where can I find out what the entry requirements are for my course?
Entry requirements are listed on our website here and also under each subject on the online application.
What happens after I apply?
You’ll be invited to an admissions interview where you will be able to discuss your options in more detail and find out more about what Runshaw has to offer you. Keep an eye on your emails for more information. After this, you’ll need to make sure you are available to attend college enrolment on GCSE Results Day in August in person to secure your place.
Is there an opportunity to spend the day at college trying out my subjects?
Yes! Our Taster Days are 6th – 8th July 2026 which are the perfect opportunity to come and try out your subjects, meet your teachers and begin making friends with other students.
What happens when I get my GCSE results in August?
College enrolment takes place on GCSE Results Day on Thursday 20th August 2026. You’ll need to make sure you are available to attend the college in person to enrol, as there is no online option (parents/guardians also cannot enrol on your behalf). You’ll receive your personalised enrolment pack in early August with all the information you need to know.
What happens if I cannot attend enrolment on GCSE Results Day?
Please make sure you contact our friendly Admissions team asap with your holiday dates at welcometorunshaw@runshaw.ac.uk who will advise you further.
When does college start?
College will start on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.
