Areas include anatomy, communication, nutrition, equality, psychology, sociology, public health and health education.

School Leavers (16-18)Over a two year course you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of Chemical, Biochemical and Microbiological Laboratory Techniques, Genetics, Physiology and Applied Chemistry. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto Higher Education or employment in the science industry. Applied Science covers all corners of science, dipping in to aspects of chemistry and biology, combining this with maths and industrial science.

Level 1 Events & Tourism
School Leavers (16-18)On this course you will study a variety of practical topics that develop skills in many aspects such as problem solving, communication, working on your own and in a team, organisation and prioritising, researching, relating to difficult situations and customer service. Students will hold their own events, allowing them to show off their unique characters whilst raising money for selected charities and progressing in skills learned on the course.
There will also be opportunities to improve English and maths skills. Researching tourist destinations in our local area will enable you to get off site and experience learning in a real life situation, then apply that experience and knowledge ready for assessment. This course prepares the young learner for progression on to many differing Level 2 courses or apprenticeships.

Foundation Diploma in Art & Design
School Leavers (16-18)The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an intensive one-year course which students complete after their A level or L3 Vocational studies and before progressing onto a degree. Foundation is effectively a 3rd year at 6th form. It is primarily designed to bridge the gap between Sixth Form and University studies, supporting progression to a subject specialist art and design programme at Art College, or to an Honours Degree at University.
