    Over a two year course you will develop a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge in the areas of Chemical, Biochemical and Microbiological Laboratory Techniques, Genetics, Physiology and Applied Chemistry. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this course progress onto Higher Education or employment in the science industry. Applied Science covers all corners of science, dipping in to aspects of chemistry and biology, combining this with maths and industrial science.

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Untangle the DNA of A Level Biology. GCSE Maths Grade 5 is now accepted for A Level Biology entry. This is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to study a range of topics such as populations and environmental biology and mechanisms used to control processes in cells and organisms. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto a range of degree courses including: Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry and Biological Sciences.
