This week our Tourism students landed at The University of Central Lancashire for a talk on Tourism Trends and have spent a day with SkyPeople.
It was another fabulous familiarisation session with the Tourism Team at UCLan, showcasing insights from two of our Runshaw Alumni students, as well as an informative lecture on “Tourism Trends” and a campus tour.
The morning gave our Level 2 and Level 3 Tourism students a great overview into the Tourism Degrees at UCLan, a possibility for their future progression. A big thank you to the team at UCLan for another great trip.
Our students have also recently spent a day with one of our supportive trainers/employers – SkyPeople. Students were treated to real life experiences by cabin crew in emergencies including a planned ditch landing over water, deployment of slides, the evacuation of 800 people in 90 seconds, fire fighting and use of Boeing and Airbus doors. It was an action packed, skill filled and fun day. SkyPeople are endorsing and contributing to our students’ assignment for Aviation and Cabin Crew to ensure we are current, relevant and supporting our students to ‘land’ their dream role in aviation!
Many students who complete our courses progress to university to study International Tourism Management or specialise in specific areas of tourism such as Aviation, Cruise, Marketing, Visitor Attraction Management or Event Management. Popular universities are UCLan, Chester, Leeds, Manchester Metropolitan and Falmouth. Browse our Tourism courses available at Runshaw below.
