In 1974, the Rubik’s cube was invented, Stephen King released his first ever novel ‘Carrie’, a pint of milk cost 4p, and The Godfather Part 2 was released. In the same year, Runshaw College opened its doors for the very first time.

Runshaw College turns 50 this year, and on Wednesday 1st May we hosted a spectacular celebration to mark this milestone.

The 50th Birthday of Runshaw College is not only a testament to our history and legacy but also a reflection of the incredible journey our alumni have been a part of. We invite you to play a crucial role in making this celebration unforgettable. Your involvement in the 50th Birthday celebration will leave a lasting impact on our college community and contribute to the legacy of Runshaw.

Using our 50th Anniversary Logo in your promotion

There are many ways you can celebrate our 50th anniversary from the comfort of your own device / platform. Runshaw’s Social Media Team have produced lots of content throughout 2024, and we also encourage you to get involved – by sharing and creating posts of your own, using the hashtag #Runshaw50.

We are also encouraging alumni students to post on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram with our @RunshawCollege and @RunshawCollegeAlumni handles so we can see your content! We are also giving you the option to download our 50th anniversary logo and it’s really easy to do so – simply click on the 50th emblem graphic below and save as a PNG. That way, you will be able to overlay the logo on top of your content with transparency, rather than a white border.
