This week our Year 1 T Level Business students had a fantastic day with local partner employer Eric Wright Group.
The morning was filled with EWG delivering sessions on CV creation, letter of application, application forms and interview techniques by Catherine Ashcroft, the Education co-ordinator for Eric Wright Group. In the afternoon, Catherine’s colleagues – one of which is a Managing Director of Eric Wright Partnerships – joined her to run mock interviews for our students for jobs that they could potentially apply for at the end of the course. The praise and feedback given to the students was detailed and extremely positive.
It was such a valuable day for our students as not only did it help back-up the theory of the recruitment process for their CORE exams but it gave them practical employability skills which they can utilise both in their work placement search and job search at the end of the course. Our students were a credit to themselves, the course and the college.
Our T Level Business Management course focuses on providing students with the building blocks of knowledge and the development of skills to succeed in business, gaining an understanding of contexts, concepts, theories, principles and core skills, that will give a broad understanding of the industry and job roles.
