Universities and businesses from across the region visited Runshaw today for our annual University and Careers Fair.

Students were invited to the Silverdale Student Hub where over 70 exhibitors travelled far and wide from across the region to represent their universities and businesses, all on hand to provide additional support, guidance and advice in the run up to exams – and of course – to provide that all important positive mindset!
The fair provides students with the opportunity to begin or continue researching into their options upon completion of their Level 3 course – for example, university, apprenticeships, employment and taking a gap year. Exhibitors included Durham, Leeds, Manchester, Cambridge, Liverpool, Edge Hill, Warwick, Nottingham, Glasgow, London School of Economics, Cumbria, Loughborough, Cardiff, Lancaster, York, UCLan, Leeds Beckett, Manchester Metropolitan, Liverpool John Moores and many more, as well as a range of employers/apprenticeship providers such as the Army, James Hall Ltd (SPAR), Royal Navy, ASK Amazing Apprenticeships, Fleetwood Nautical College, NHS, BAe, Royal Air Force, JTL Training and Lancashire Constabulary. In addition, our college teams provided information on writing a UCAS personal statement, university funding, apprenticeships through Runshaw and careers advice.

A big thank you to all our guests for coming, the fair was a huge success with over 1000 students attending!
