On Monday, our Year One and Year Two Scholars students attended a social lunchtime event in the Blue Room. Over fifteen Year Two Scholars volunteered to act as ‘buddies’ to our Year One Scholars students; during the lunchtime social event, they shared their invaluable experiences of the University application process and their year one A-Level studies – all over a Runshaw cookie or two!
The event was a huge success with our year one Scholars now having a year two ‘buddy’ to call upon whilst navigating their way through year one A-Levels and applying to prestigious universities.
Feedback from both Year One and Year Two Scholars was fantastic, and we’ll be looking to arrange a follow-up event in the new year.
