Seven of our Year 2 A Level Chemists recently took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad.
Our students completed an extremely challenging written paper. This paper requires them to apply their understanding of Chemistry to real-world situations and concepts and challenges their problem solving skills to their limits. Our students did amazingly well, achieving three gold awards (top 9 % nationwide) and four silver awards (top 24 %).
Well done to you all, this is a wonderful achievement.
Designed to challenge and inspire, the UK Chemistry Olympiad is a unique opportunity for students to push themselves further and excel in the chemistry field. Budding chemists will develop critical problem-solving skills, learn to think more creatively and get a chance to test their knowledge in new, real-world situations.
