The final Police Horizons for the 23/24 academic year ended with a celebration of achievement and dedication for our Year 2 students’ completion.

Our students have shown determination, commitment and enthusiasm throughout the year and have represented Runshaw College in the best way.

To our speakers, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your invaluable contributions to our Police Horizons program this year. Your presence and insights have had an everlasting impact on our students, igniting passion and opening doors to exciting futures within Lancashire Police. From the dedicated local patrol units to the specialised Dog Handling and Armed Response teams, each of you brought a unique perspective to our campus. We were particularly honoured to welcome the Police Crime Commissioner, as well as experts in Case Building, Criminal Justice, and Digital Forensics – amongst many others. Students were also provided with the opportunity to visit the Force Control Room, an invaluable experience; allowing students to witness Police Control Room Operators in action. Your collective passion for your roles painted a comprehensive picture of policing that our students found truly captivating.

The speaker visits did more than just inform; they inspired – opening our students’ eyes to a world of possibilities they hadn’t previously considered. The feedback from our students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many finding clarity in their career aspirations. The enthusiasm and curiosity you’ve sparked in our students is a testament to their bright future ahead. Words cannot fully express our appreciation for your time, expertise and passion. You’ve gone above and beyond in supporting our students’ growth and career exploration. Thank you for your insights, and your inspiration. You’ve made a lasting impact on our students, for which we are truly grateful.
