Our Rugby Union squad visited the professional premiership Rugby Union team Sale Sharks training ground at the beginning of March.
This visit was set up by Runshaw College’s Rugby Union coach, who worked within their development pathways. The visit gave our students an insight into the life of a professional athlete. They had access to the training and medical facilities that players use on a daily basis. Our students watched England regulars Tom Curry and George Ford prepare for their up and coming game against London Irish.
The highlight of the visit came when the students had the opportunity to observe a first team meeting regarding their preparation for the up and coming game. A wonderful experience for our Rugby Union squad.
