Exciting news!
Four A Level Classical Civilisation students from Runshaw College will be serving as Student Ambassadors for the Southport and Birkdale Classical Association this academic year.
Led by Runshaw staff, Francesca Grilli and Rosie Power, the branch is now in its third year, offering fascinating lectures on the ancient world for both students and the public.
This year’s line-up includes renowned archaeologists, military history experts, and even Alexander Mariotti, the historical consultant for the upcoming Gladiator 2 movie.
Our Student Ambassadors—Amy English, Henry Kilpatrick, Ella McCutcheon, and Orla Grady—will gain valuable employability skills through a range of volunteer roles, from welcoming the public to writing blog posts and interviewing guest speakers. The brave amongst them may even give the vote of thanks speech at the end of the evening!
