The Runshaw College Careers Team were pleased to host the annual Higher and Degree Apprenticeship event which took place on Wednesday 8th November in the new Silverdale Student Hub.
The evening comprised of three presentations focussing on the apprenticeship option. They took place in the Amanda Roocroft Theatre and were delivered by Cath Robinson, Project Manager for Apprenticeships – Lancashire Forum. Each presentation was well attended and the feedback received was extremely positive.
In addition, a wide range of employers attended the event to promote the various apprenticeship opportunities they offer. Each organisation had a stand and provided the opportunity for students and their parents/carers to research into all the options available.
Three universities who deliver the degree aspect of the apprenticeships also attended – Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Central Lancashire and the University of Law. UCLan were extremely keen to promote their new apprenticeship matching service, whilst MMU and the University of Law promoted the current vacancies they have with a range of high quality employers.
The Runshaw College Careers Team and the Apprenticeship Team were also on hand to answer any queries.
The evening was a huge success and we would like to thank everyone involved – it was a great Runshaw team effort!
Finally, these quotes are taken from the evaluation forms completed:
