Our talented Hair & Media Make-up students have competed in the AHT Competition in Blackpool with top results!
The students were selected for all three competitions against all colleges in the region and managed to achieve the following results:
1st in 1920s era make-up
1st in body art – zoo animals
3rd in face painting – Halloween theme
The students have been working so hard and have committed to the competition classes at college and have continued their hard work at home. The Hair & Media Make Up department has been competing at the AHT competition with Runshaw for over 12 years now, and each time they get placed in the top three – just proving they are the best regionally – and hopefully the best nationally when they get to the next heats in May.
Well done to our Hair & Media Make-up students Megan Jones and Heidi Mallinson (pictured below) for competing in the ‘Authentic 1920s Make up’ competition. Heidi was placed 1st and Megan was runner up. Keira Sutch also came 1st in body painting. A massive thank you to all our students who competed, and the models who gave up their faces and bodies weekly, and all our media staff.
