Students from our FAD (Foundation Diploma in Art & Design) course have visited the Special Collections Department at Manchester Metropolitan University this week.
In an informative and inspiring session with curator Louise Clenell, our FAD students had the opportunity to explore part of the extensive Artists Book collection held at the University.
With just a few weeks left on their current course, our students are planning the work that you will be able to view in our annual End Of Year Exhibition in June. Our students certainly left the session feeling inspired and we can’t wait to see them make their own artists books for the exhibition!
The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an intensive one-year course which students complete after their A Level or Level 3 Vocational studies and before progressing onto a degree. It is primarily designed to bridge the gap between Sixth Form and University studies, supporting progression to a subject specialist art and design programme at Art College, or to an Honours Degree at University.
