  • Film Studies A Level

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Lights, camera, action! A Level Film Studies is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge of how a film works as a text through analysis and evaluation. We study mainstream, Hollywood films, as well as a broad range of British, foreign and experimental films. Our approach is similar to English Literature – we focus on developing a critical understanding of film from a number of different perspectives: genre, narrative, film language and institution.

  • Fine Art A Level

    School Leavers (16-18)

    Work with a range of mixed media, predominantly exploring painting, drawing, textural and image-based collage, and print making. The course begins with an initial diagnostic skill building start to Fine Art where you will work on similar topics before selecting your own personal theme and area of investigation for the coursework unit.

  • Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

    School Leavers (16-18)

    The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an intensive one-year course which students complete after their A level or L3 Vocational studies and before progressing onto a degree. Foundation is effectively a 3rd year at 6th form. It is primarily designed to bridge the gap between Sixth Form and University studies, supporting progression to a subject specialist art and design programme at Art College, or to an Honours Degree at University.

    Bienvenue en France. A Level French is a two year course which will give you the opportunity to study a range of topics, including ‘la famille en voie de changement, la «cyber-société», le rôle du bénévolat, les aspects positifs d’une société diverse, une culture fière de son patrimoine, et les ados, le droit de vote et l’engagement politique’. In addition to this, you will study a French film and novel. Many students who enjoy and successfully complete this subject typically progress onto a range of degree courses including Languages and other disciplines such as Medicine, Law and Humanities.
