Can you tell us about your background and why you applied to work at Runshaw?
“I’ve been teaching English since 2013 – which now seems like a lifetime ago. Since then I’ve worked in various colleges across the north west. I absolutely love working in the post-16 sector and teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English, giving students another chance to pass an exam they may have failed in the past. When they achieve, it’s such an amazing feeling. I was told about the job at Runshaw from a friend and knew instantly that I was made for this role. It was perfect. So, I took the plunge and applied“.
How has Runshaw supported your career growth and professional development?
“I’ve learnt so much already during my time here. Runshaw has given me the skills and opportunities to develop and run the Functional Skills English course, and further my experience working with adult learners“.
