Tonight we were proud to host our annual A Level awards ceremony, with our Class of 2025 returning to celebrate in festive style!
The Silverdale Hub was transformed into a spectacular venue to warmly welcome back a large number of our A Level students who left this summer and have gone on to some of the most prestigious destinations in the country, including Sheffield, Durham, Lancaster, Oxford, Cambridge and Manchester.

We were also delighted to welcome our distinguished guests, including our College Governors and the Mayor & Consort of South Ribble Borough Council, Councillor Paul Wharton-Hardman BEM and Mr Chris Wharton-Hardman. Deputy Principal Vanessa Harwood was our fabulous compère for the evening and Principal Clare Russell introduced the evening’s events.

As part of the celebrations, students received special awards, subject awards and their A Level certificates, with singing performances by A Level Music student Eve Middleton, and closing the ceremony we were proud to hear from Motunrayo who gave an inspiring Student Response, with closing remarks from our Chair of Finance & People and Renumeration Committee Simon Drew.

Governor’s Excellence Award – Isabel

As always, the event organisation was a great cross-college team effort – from subject teams and progress mentors providing nominations, staff registering students on arrival, the organising of seating and prompting students and VIPs on the evening, to cleaning, decorating and security – not forgetting the wonderful canapés provided by Marcus Moore – thank you all to those involved, and most importantly, thank you to our alumni students and special guests for celebrating with us!
