Saving lives – Like a defibrillator, but for allergies
We are proud to have purchased a new anaphylaxis kit for the college in case of severe allergic reactions.
The unit acts just like a defibrillator, but for allergies. A big thank you to Kitt Medical’s service, they now support over 400 organisations across the UK, and their ‘Kitts’ have been used multiple times in life-threatening scenarios. Their goal is to become every defibrillator’s next door neighbour, creating a new standard for allergy care. The anaphylaxis unit is now situated centrally on campus in our main reception.

This week our First Aid Coordinator Jenn Fisher also hosted a walk-in event for students and staff to learn about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. ‘Restart a Heart Day’ raises awareness about cardiac arrest and helps people to learn CPR, giving them lifesaving skills and the confidence to use them.
