Runshaw’s apprentices shine at Lancashire Apprenticeship Awards 2026
Runshaw College is celebrating the outstanding success of its apprentices following a memorable evening at the Lancashire Apprenticeship Awards 2026!
Held at Blackpool Football Club on Thursday 7th May, the prestigious event brings together apprentices, employers and training providers from across the region to recognise excellence and showcase the talent shaping Lancashire’s future workforce. Runshaw’s apprentices delivered an exceptional performance on the night, securing awards across multiple categories:
- Intermediate Apprentice of the Year
Erin Leadbeater – Customer Service Practitioner Level 2, Lancashire Constabulary - Advanced Apprentice of the Year
Kate Smith – Team Leading Supervisor Level 3, Rufford Arms Hotel - Highly Commended – Engineering/Manufacturing Apprentice
Abbie Prior – Business Administrator Level 3, Leyland Trucks - Highly Commended – Higher Apprentice
Jack Thompson – Accounting Level 4, Runshaw College


In total, 11 Runshaw apprentices and 2 staff members were shortlisted at this year’s awards, marking a significant achievement and underlining the consistency of high-quality outcomes delivered across our programmes, reflecting Runshaw’s commitment to high quality teaching, strong employer connections and career opportunities for our apprentices.
