Celebrating Eid Markets at Runshaw
Our vibrant Eid Markets returned to the Silverdale Hub this week , bringing a wonderful sense of community, culture and celebration to college life.

Organised collaboratively by the Enrichment Team, the Multifaith Group and the Student Union, the markets have been a fantastic opportunity for students and staff to come together while raising money for Lancashire MIND. The atmosphere throughout the day was lively and welcoming, with a wide range of stalls showcasing both creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Students and Staff have been able to browse and purchase a variety of items including handmade jewellery, beads, hijab pins and bookmarks, alongside enjoying a popular tombola. A selection of delicious cakes has been on offer, as well as refreshing mango and strawberry drinks, which have proved to be a big hit. Henna painting has also been a standout feature, with many students taking the opportunity to have intricate designs created. We also had a presentation on the Muslim faith and Eid to educate our community on this religion.

The event has not only celebrated Eid in an inclusive and engaging way, but has also highlighted the generosity and initiative of our students in supporting a very important cause. A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising, running and supporting the stalls.
