RS and Philosophy students have taken part in the Manchester regional match of the Ethics Cup.
The Ethics Cup is a national philosophical presenting and discussion competition judged by academics at universities across the country. This was their first time entering the competition and having spent months preparing. It was an absolute rollercoaster of a day with the standard of the competition extremely high, as schools and colleges from all over the region competed.
The team defeated Didsbury High School in the semi-finals and then Winstanley College in the Local Derby regional final. They will now be heading to St. Andrews for the national final! Every member of the team played a vital role – although special mention has to go to Alex Ramsdale who completed his online Cambridge interview in the lunch break, returning to give an absolutely fantastic presentation in the final. We would also like to shout out to Luci Kwasnica and Hannah Parker who couldn’t be there on the day but played a vital role in the preparation – well done everyone!
It’s a miracle – if studying religious beliefs and debating philosophical issues is for you, read our Bible of information below. Study with us this September and apply today!
