Students from Runshaw’s Medical Society have successfully completed a four-week British Sign Language (BSL) course delivered in partnership with Deaf Forward.
The initiative aimed to equip future healthcare professionals with essential communication skills to support deaf and hard-of-hearing patients.

The interactive sessions focused on fingerspelling, everyday phrases, and medical terminology, enabling students to build confidence in using BSL in real-life settings. Participants praised the course for raising awareness of Deaf culture and promoting inclusivity in healthcare.
