Former Runshaw student, Becky Pickering is currently studying her BA honors in Fashion and photography at Manchester University, she was a student at Runshaw in 2015-16 studying level 2 and 3 in theatrical hair and media make-up.
We organised a visit for our media make-up students to Manchester Uni in October to have a look round the campus. There we made contact with Becky and she wanted to come to visit our students and talk about life at uni and its expectations. She gave them an insight into life at uni and the contacts she had made whilst studying, one of them being a make-up artist on the set of TOWIE.
She did a master class on the art of doing perfect blending for eye make-up. She also shared her experiences at Runshaw where she achieved student of the year in 2016. The students provided her with feedback, this was used as part of her coursework so it was a valuable shared experience for all concerned.
Students loved the visit and had a chance to ask Becky lots of questions, particularly finding out about her work on TOWIE.
