Funding announced to support staff in pursuing management courses.

At Runshaw College, we are thrilled to announce the funding for 20 members of staff to undertake courses designed to enhance their management and leadership skills. These courses, which are delivered flexibly through online and in person sessions, aim to empower individuals who are most likely to benefit from the training and apply their newfound knowledge in impactful ways.

Participants range from established educators to support staff who are team leaders or aspiring leaders, who seek to use the opportunity to improve their skills and expand their understanding to benefit future progression.

Course Details:

CMI Level 3 Principles of Management and Leadership

This course is designed for both current and aspiring supervisors or team leaders. It focuses on developing essential skills to lead teams effectively, address underperformance, and enhance leadership qualities. The course includes the following units:

  • CMI 301: Principles of Management and Leadership
  • CMI 302: Managing a Team to Achieve Results
  • CMI 304: Principles of Communication in the Workplace
  • CMI 306: Principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusive Working Practice
  • CMI 309: Responding to Conflict in the Workplace
  • CMI 313: Developing and Sharing Good Practice
  • CMI 321: Managing Own Personal and Professional Development

CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership

Geared towards current or aspiring departmental managers, this course focuses on managing teams and projects, achieving operational goals, and contributing to organisational strategy. The course includes the following units:

  • CMI 503: Principles of Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
  • CMI 509: Managing Stakeholder Relationships
  • CMI 514: Managing Change
  • CMI 515: Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
  • CMI 517: Principles of Innovation
  • CMI 525: Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development
  • CMI 526: Principles of Leadership Practices
