This week, students on our Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (FAD) course took part in a 3 hour painting workshop with visiting artist and lecturer John McClenaghen.
John is a lecturer in Fine Art at Wrexham University and our students gained a valuable insight into how learning at university may differ to their current course as well as the wealth of experience John was able to impart as a practising artist.
The students’ feedback was very positive, they had a great morning learning to paint quickly with intent on a large scale and felt confident with their outcomes. It was refreshing to have a university experience which was interactive and added value by gaining new knowledge and skills whilst making outcomes which can be used for the students’ portfolios. Thank you so much John for an amazing morning!
