- Overview
All students will study a combination of the three sciences of Biology, Chemistry and Physics in detail, plus core components that are not taught in traditional science qualifications, such as working in the health and science sector, infection prevention, clinical practice and patient care. The occupational specialism in assisting with the healthcare science in Year 2 involves practical work including collection and analysis of specimens for diagnosis and treatment, contributions to patient care by producing reliable data and image collection.
- Entry Requirements
Overall requirements for the T Level Programme at Runshaw College are 5 x Grade 4s in Maths & English.

- How will I be assessed?
Assessment is via a combination of exams, discussions, projects and coursework. In Year 1, there are two core exams and an employer set project, and three coursework assessments in Year 2. At the end of the two years, students will be awarded an overall grade of either Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. As part of achieving the overall T Level programme, you also get the opportunity to complete a minimum of 315 hours industry placement (approximately 45 days).
- Progression Pathway
Employment in the science and health industry, higher-level apprenticeship or university are all options at the end of the two years.
