Celebrating student achievement: The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
This week we were delighted to host our annual Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards presentation, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our students across Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
We were also honoured to welcome Ruth, Operations Manager for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award England, along with Paul from the Anderton Centre, who has provided invaluable support to our students undertaking their Silver and Gold expeditions. Their presence made the event particularly special and highlighted the strength of our partnerships in delivering this prestigious programme.

This year marks a significant milestone for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as it celebrates its 70th anniversary, making our students’ accomplishments even more meaningful. We are incredibly proud to share that a total of 72 awards have been achieved by our students this year: 34 Bronze Awards, 21 Silver Awards and 17 Gold Awards!

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Cheryl Sadler, Susan Wade, Steve McCann and Jen Chambers for their continued dedication and support in delivering the programme. Their hard work ensures our students are able to access and succeed in such a valuable and enriching experience.
These achievements reflect the commitment, resilience and personal growth demonstrated by our students, both within college and beyond. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award continues to play a vital role in developing key life skills, confidence and independence.
