Award winning author and alumni Jenn Ashworth visits the LRC
The LRC was delighted to welcome multi–award-winning author Jenn Ashworth to Runshaw for an inspiring talk about her life and career. A former Runshaw student (1998–2000), Jenn was amazed by the transformation of the campus and the high standards demonstrated by both the college and its students.
During her visit, she delivered an open and honest account of her journey as a writer, sharing the challenges of sustaining a creative career while balancing the demands of work, family, and health. More than 60 students took part in a no‑holds‑barred Q&A, asking thoughtful questions about money, career paths, failure, and success.
Both students and staff left the event feeling genuinely inspired.
