- Job Description
Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities and planned experiences.
Promote children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Help plan, prepare, and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Build warm, caring, and professional relationships with children and their families.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and achievements.
Support children with their personal care needs, including toileting, handwashing, and mealtimes.
Ensure children’s health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s emotional development.
Create an inclusive environment that values diversity and equality.
Support children with additional needs and implement individual support plans where required.
Assist with setting up and maintaining stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Follow safeguarding procedures and immediately report any concerns regarding a child’s welfare.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and nursery policies.
Support risk assessments and help ensure the setting remains safe and secure.
Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to staff meetings. - Personal Qualities

- What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include
EPA (End Point Assessment) – Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
