  • Job Description

    To train as a level 3 early years practitioner and undertake associated tasks.
    – Work with children under 5 as part of a well-established and knowledgeable team.
    – Track children’s progress and learn how to incorporate this and implement into planning.
    – Learn about child development and use this knowledge practically.
    – Communicate with parents, colleagues and other professionals.
    – Look after the daily needs of children in our care and help to nurture and develop them through their time with us at nursery.

    Empathy for children and others. Patience, sense of fun, good work ethic, ability to show initiative.

  • Qualifications Required

    4 x GCSE A*-D / 9-3 which must include GCSE English and Maths at A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent.
    AND a Level 2 Qualification in childcare

  • Future Prospects

    Permanent position for the right candidate.

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.

  • Things to Consider

    This Apprenticeship is completed within the workplace. You will be assessed through written work, verbal discussion and observation throughout your training. You will be given time by your employer to complete portfolio work, attend training, workplace shadowing and any other opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.

    £4.30 apprentice wage rising dependent on age and qualification. Age related minimum wage paid for any employed hours.
