The apprentice will be taught how to use our systems, how to use scanning and photocopying facilities, how to speak to clients on the telephone, how to open files for new clients, how to read title documents and how to identify issues for referral on to senior members of staff. They will be taught how to answer telephone calls.

- Job Description
Working with a leading firm of accountants in Sustainability. This is an ideal role for someone wanting to learn bookkeeping, accounting and the impact of climate change on business. The role is based in our office, at home or at clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day financial transactions, including purchase and sales ledger entries. Reconcile bank statements and company accounts. Preparation of VAT returns Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Learn to use accounting software (e.g., Sage, Free Agent, Xero, QuickBooks). Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above). Interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance. Keen interest in sustainability Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills. Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word. Willingness to learn and develop new skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Desirable:
Enrolled or willing to enrol in the AAT qualification Prior experience in an office or finance environment (not essential).

- What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include
• EPA (End Point Assessment) – Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and a project/improvement presentation. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
