  • Job Description

    Purpose of Post

    • To be trained to undertake the same responsibilities as an Early Years Educator.
    • To contribute to a high-quality caring environment for the children, this includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.

    Responsible to

    • Nursery Manager/ Deputy Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Attend college (when necessary) and complete all assignments set.
    • To attend team meetings and inputting ideas.
    • Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including washing changing and feeding.
    • To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
    • To provide adult interaction with the children in the Nursery. Undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery.
    • Undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery.
    • To be aware of the Nurseries policies and procedures and always adhere to these.

    To have a genuine interest in working with young children.

  • Qualifications Required

    GCSE English and Maths A*-D/ 9-3

  • Future Prospects

    Progression to level 3

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
