  • Job Description

    • General Office Administration
    o Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence.
    o Maintain office supplies and equipment.
    o Organise and schedule meetings, appointments, and staff calendars.
    o Prepare meeting rooms and manage logistics for internal and client meetings.
    o Open Post and file digitally.
    • Document & File Management
    o Create, update, and maintain client files in both paper and digital formats.
    o Assist with the preparation and formatting of reports, invoices, and financial documents.
    o Handle sensitive and confidential information in accordance with data protection regulations.
    o Preparing Engagement Letters and undertake AML checks.
    o Ensure all Onboarding and Disengagement tasks are complete.
    o Prepare Disengagement Letters.
    • Client Support
    o Greet and assist clients in person, via phone, and by email.
    o Handle initial client queries and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
    o Support onboarding of new clients by gathering necessary documentation.
    • Financial & Compliance Support
    o Assist with the preparation and sending of invoices and statements.
    o Help monitor deadlines for tax returns, VAT submissions, and other compliance requirements.
    o Liaise with HMRC and other third parties when needed.
    o Submit Confirmation Statements and other documents to Companies House.
    o Chase debtors and take payments over the phone.
    • Team Support
    o Support accountants and partners with diary management and ad hoc tasks.
    o Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new team members.
    o Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional office environment.

  • Qualifications Required

    Maths and English minimum level 6/B equivalent

  • Future Prospects

    Potential progression to AAT including, bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities

  • What will the End Point Assessment (EPA) include

    Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a knowledge test, portfolio-based interview and a project/improvement presentation. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
